Welcome at the Haffmuseum Ueckermünde

schlossturm startseiteThe absolute eye-catcher of Ueckermünde is with no doubt the castle in the nicely restored old town.
In the last year, the renovation and extension of the castle was finished. The tourist info point is situated in the new extension directly at the harbor.
From there, it is only a few meters to the palace tower where the Haffmuseum is located.
Beside various exhibits on the history of the town, there are various exhibitions. Very special in this museum is the fact that the palace tower is part of the exhibition area.

The tower offers an attractive overview on the town of Ueckermünde and the beautiful lagoon landscape.
There are four areas of interest:

  • discoveries of the prehistory and early history
  • history of the town
  • main lines of business of Ueckermünde (foundry, brickworks, fisheries, and shipping)
  • objects of house and trade of former times

The main emphasis is put on special exhibitions which are carried out four to six times a year.
